Samiyah Diaz
6 03 2006
An interesting candidate is running as for the state senate in Massachusetts…
She’s a single black mother, who’s also an Hispanic, a Muslim, and a daughter of immigrants, the interesting part is that she is running as a Republican.
Samiyah Diaz is politically "progressive" but chose the Republican party so that she can have a chance of getting rid of the corrupt tax-evading Democrat destined to be re-elected. I would probably disagree with some of her progressive positions, and it annoys me when Republicans vote as democrats, but I do like it when anyone fights corruption.
From her biography she appears to be a hard worker and she says she’s "fiscally prudent".

Where Have I Heard This Before?
7 11 2005"France welcomed their parents as labor, often to do menial jobs most French did not want" – quote from an article on the "North African and Arab immigrants" revolting in France.
"Mexico’s lackluster economy does push many workers into the United States, but Mexicans mostly take jobs Americans don’t want," -Mexican, U.S. labor officials vow to protect rights of immigrant workers – legal or not
Cogitate: 20 million jobs that Americans "don’t want". What jobs will their children want? Will they be able to legally work? After having been raised in the U.S. will they want the jobs that their parents had… that "no one" wants?
