A World Without America
21 02 2007This is a viral campaign video by 18DoughertyStreet.com made to combat anti-American sentiment flooding Britain and Europe. I’d like to see more video’s on the topic of a World Without America (U.S.A.), but I consider this a good start. Check out their other campaign videos as they could apply to U.S. politics just as well as British.

Supporting the Players but not the Mission
16 02 2007KANSAS CITY (AL-Rooters) – Coach Harm Edvvards was resigned to a stinging rebuke from the fans on Friday over his Super Bowl policy and his decision to play better offense in the opening game of the 2007-2008 season, the Arrowhead office said.
The cheerleader-controlled stadium was set to vote late on Friday on a symbolic resolution supporting Chiefs players in Arrowhead but opposing the Coach’s decision to play a more offensive game.
"The fans have a right to express their views," Chiefs spokesman Mob Boore said. Edvvards was holding his fire, prepared to fight any subsequent effort by fans to boycott future games.
While the resolution would not force Edvvards to act, its supporters hope to pressure him to reverse course and start bringing the offense off the field quicker and to play a strictly defensive game.
"No more blank checks for Coach Edvvards on the Chiefs goal of winning a Super Bowl," the K.C. Chiefs Mascot declared. He warned the Arrowhead office that the measure would be only the first of a raft of boos and boycotts in the upcoming season.
The measure was expected to pass with support of virtually all of the fair-weather fans and even some season ticket holders, many worried about their scalping values should they keep backing the Coach in his bid to win the Super Bowl.
Opponents said each game was but one battle in a season long struggle against radicals that the Chiefs could not abandon. They also portrayed the resolution as an attempt to embarrass the Coach and his supporters.
"This is a political charade, lacking both the seriousness and gravity of the issue it is meant to address," said Offensive Coordinator Sike Molari.
Polls show most Kansas Citians oppose a stronger offense, and about a dozen Red-Coaters spoke out against it during debate. More than half of those surveyed said that the Super Bowl is a lost cause and that we should just play defense in order to get better draft picks in 2008.
Most surveyed also believe that by playing only defense, the opponents will "like us more" and "try not to hurt us" while obtaining their goal of Total League Domination.
Even before the vote, Monday morning quarterbacks were talking about what the fans would do next. But the Coach’s spokesman remained steadfast.
"Where the Coach’s focus will be is when they get into discussion of binding resolutions or buying tickets to the game because the Coach will certainly fight very aggressively to make sure that the Chiefs Offense has the resources they need to do the job that he’s asked them to do," Molari said.
Cheerleader squad captains insisted they would not cut off cheering for troops in the field. Cheerleader Joan Murtha, chairman of a key dance committee, said her plans for conditions on how Edvvards can spend new funds would effectively stop the Offensive buildup.
"They won’t be able to continue … They won’t have the equipment, they don’t have the training and they won’t be able to do the work," aging scandal-tied cheerleader said..
In the Chiefs front office, which normally takes the lead on weighty policy issues, executives scheduled a rare Saturday vote on whether to consider the fans resolution.
The execs had planned to debate a similar proposal last week, ahead of the fans, but it deadlocked on procedural issues, with Season Ticket Holders insisting there also be a vote on a proposal forbidding a cutoff of funding for the Chiefs on the road.

Bush and Rice Frozen in Belarus
27 06 2006
George Bush and Condoleezza Rice had their wealth severely crippled this week, when Belarus officially froze any assets held by them in Belarus. Belarus is reacting to a similar act on Belarusian
President Alyaksandr Lukashenka and 30 other Belarusian officials by the U.S.A. and the E.U. in response to crackdowns on dissidents and a corrupt election in Belarus.
I’m unable to reach Bush or Rice for comment, but I presume they are busy asking friends and family for assistance during this difficult financial transition.
