A World Without America

This is a viral campaign video by 18DoughertyStreet.com made to combat anti-American sentiment flooding Britain and Europe.  I’d like to see more video’s on the topic of a World Without America (U.S.A.), but I consider this a good start.  Check out their other campaign videos as they could apply to U.S. politics just as well as British.

A World Without Romania?

Fair or not, American’s are perceived throughout the world as being uneducated, especially in the area of culture.  I’ve heard recently that this is a popular belief in Romania as well.  So in the interest of raising cultural awareness, your assignment is to watch this video and then investigate the links below…

Romanian Resourcefulness

Once again the Romer!can nails a favorite topic of mine and says it all way better than I could ever hope to.  Check out his post on Romanian Resourcefulness and you’ll surely pick up on some of the more endearing traits of the Romanian people.  Here are some quotes from his post:

In God We Trust

Your favorite non-internet-savvy friends will likely soon be sending a "forward to everyone you know" email regarding "In God We Trust" being removed from the new one dollar coin.   Here are the facts from the source:

"In God We Trust" is being removed from the FACE of the coin, but it is being relocated to the edge, along with "E Pluribus Unum" and the year of the minting.  The word "Liberty" is being removed but will be represented by a depiction of the Statue of Liberty.  In addition, each year the mint will issue four new coins with a different President on the face in the order of their presidency.
